VISIT
The interior of the château and the medieval tower are only accessible by guided tour:
‘Renaissance Visit” approx. 1 hour
‘Medieval & Renaissance Visit” approx. 1 hour 30 mins.
The guided visits of the château are conducted in French.
The first tour is at 2:30 pm. Tours are scheduled at regular intervals thereafter, with the last tour at 5:00 pm. If you participate in this tour, you must allow time to explore the gardens before the tour begins. For the last tour, the only option available is the “Renaissance Tour.”
Non-French speakers are welcome to join any of these visits with a fully illustrated written translation in either English or Spanish.
If you do not wish to visit the interior of the château, it is possible to visit the garden and the exterior of the château with a «Garden only» ticket. The last entrance to the garden is at 18h.

The château is open every day except Tuesdays from 2 April to 11 November following the hours detailed below.
2 April – 13 July : 2 pm to 6 pm
14 July – 31 August : 10am to 12pm and 2pm to 6:30pm
1 September – 11 November : 2 pm to 6 pm

Please note the visit of the tower is not available for those under 6 years and groups. The tower may be closed at short notice due to weather conditions or security.
Exterior Visit : Garden & Sculpted Courtyard
We do not take reservations unless your group is more than 10 people.
Due to the number of stairs and the small size of some rooms, we do not accept strollers or baby backpacks. We ask that babies be carried in the arms during the visit.
Dogs are permitted in the gardens provided they are kept on a leash and the owners pick up any waste. Dogs are not permitted in the château unless they can be carried in a handbag during the guided visit.
Photos are not permitted inside the chateau.
Please note that the maze may be closed at short notice for repairs or the treatment of box caterpillar.
GROUP VISITS
Accompanied by a guide, the group will be able to discover the history of the place and its exceptional restoration. Groups can choose either a guided visit of the interior of the chateau followed by access to the garden or, if they prefer, they can opt for a guided visit of the garden with the chateau Gardner.

Open year-round by reservation. The minimum number of people for a private group visit is 20 people. Guided visits in English or Spanish are also available on request.
Duration: Approximately 60-minute guided tour of the chateau interior + access to the garden, or approximately 60-minute guided tour of the garden only.

SCHOOL VISITS
The Château de Bournazel welcomes schoolchildren for guided tours adapted to different levels. Numerous themes can be addressed in correlation with the educational programme.
